Saddle Trials
Tobias Saddlery offers the opportunity to try new, used, or demo saddles of your choice. Before you purchase a saddle, you are given one week to try the saddle to ensure it is the perfect fit. Trial includes measurements of horse and rider.
Saddle Fitting
Frank Tobias or his son, Elliot Tobias, will provide a complete evaluation of your saddle and adjust the saddle tree and flocking as needed.
Saddle fitting prices start at $195.
Saddle Repair
Tobias Saddlery offers repairs and reflocking of saddles, including replacement of wool flocking, replacement of billets, and repairs to stitching and leather. Billet replacement is $50 per billet. Other repair prices are available upon request.

About Frank & His Patent
Frank Tobias grew up in North Palm Beach, Florida, just minutes from Wellington. For the last 25 years working with horses, Frank has fitted saddles for thousands of clients, working with riders from Intro to Olympic level in jumpers, hunters, eventing, and dressage. Before discovering his passion for working with horses, Frank specialized in fine handcraftsmanship, restoring vintage race cars for over 20 years, with a specialty in Porsches and Ferraris. Through his understanding of the biomechanics of horse and rider, Frank could see the flaws and limitations of saddles on the market. He decided to design his own saddle – one that ensures ultimate comfort and freedom for the horse.
After many years of research and trials, the Shelby dressage saddle with patented comfort panel design was born! With its narrow twist, Frank's patented comfort bridge panel design brings greater balance and position to the rider and gives better connection to back of the horse without compromising the comfort of the rider. All Tobias Saddles are customizable, designed in the style of the classical English saddle.

Elliot Tobias embodies the same passion for perfecting saddle fit as his father, Frank Tobias. Elliot’s love for horses matches his father’s and deepens his commitment to helping horses and riders achieve comfort and performance. Frank thrives on collaborating with someone who thinks like him and comprehensively understands his mechanical mind. Frank is thrilled to work with someone who grasps the mechanics, biomechanics, and material capabilities of saddles, blending artistry with saddle fitting expertise.
As a sounding board throughout the development of the signature Tobias saddle patent, Elliot has been by Frank’s side every step of the way. Growing up, Elliot observed his father care for horses, first as a saddle fitter and then as a designer. And like Frank, Elliot spent time restoring vintage Porsche racecars. “There’s something indescribable about the pride of watching your son follow in your footsteps,” Frank says. While Frank shares all his saddle secrets with Elliot, Elliot has already discovered much on his own — he possesses the same natural gift for biomechanics that his father does, making him exceptionally suited for saddle fitting.
